Default XBOX 360 discussion thread...

Ok peeps....i beleive this is out with you guys now...whats it like so far ?

From what ive read and heard about, the unit keeps crashing out due to overheating ??

I know im going to wait out until next year (due out here in the uk December 2nd) so maybe microsoft will iron out some of the bugs etc...but for know by trusty chipped XBOX will do for now with games like Forza Motorsport

The thing is buggy as shit! I don't have one, but... lets just say that I am close to the source. I am not getting one until the second or third generation.

Another dissappointing thing is that not all Xbox games are backwards compatible.

I like to collect systems.

I even had the dreamcast A year before the US release as well as the PS2..

but the reason I spent almost 300% retail on them was that there were games for them already out. I think it is games that drive the console and unless there is a killer app out already that I like (enthusia for 360, or splinter cell 360) I cant see the reason to commit now and buy a 1st gen box.. unless you want to count the fact that the individual pieces cost more than the box itself.. (i saw an article on digg about MS selling these things $71 less than cost)

The first xbox didn't have any games I was interested in playing so that's the only system I don't have. I'm even less enthused by the 360. Needless to say I won't be getting one. Good luck to those looking though!
