Default soopercooperinfo.com -- request to share useful info

I just joined motoring underground -- great place to share information about my favorite car! I have been collecting information specifically about the R53 for my own use, and decided to share it on a website.

Some of the hard to find information that members are looking for is easily found on my website -- www.soopercooperinfo.com. With your permission, I'd like to answer their questions by referring to this site.
If you have time, please take a look at our site, and let me know what you think!

Thanks!

Maybe you should try and have your site added to the yellowpages on here.

Sounds to me like a thinly veiled attempt to generate traffic to your site, but for now, you'll get the benefit of the doubt.

Have the powers that be considered revising the 'two automotive events per quarter' considering the current economy?

I'm nowhere near being sponsored for membership, but I feel the strain in the economy like most people. I have several events I'd like to do, but need to spend that money elsewhere, such as replacing my damaged wheels, suspension bushings, driver's door brake, oh, and the srs light came on tonight...

So while I am like 4 digits worth of posts away from eligibility, I am curious about it. That particular requirement stuck out like a sore thumb when I was reading. I started immediately weighing my expenses in my mind.

A lot of the events that we take part in have little to no cost involved. The two events per quarter requirement is a great way to get everyone out doing something car related on a regular basis. Sometimes an event is like MOTD, which does cost some money, but it's well worth it. Others might just be a local car gathering in a parking lot. I hope that helps to explain it a little better.

Yeah Drew, I hear ya. Problem for me is, going out to dinner after a meet and greet has become a conscious decision in regards to the budget. I wouldn't have even bought this car to replace my BMW but it was a heck of a deal.

Until I'm within about 10 grand of what I was making last year, I see a lot of PB&J and not much BRP in my future.

I know changing jobs was the right decision, but damn it has been a long year.

It can be just about any car-related event like a GTG for a photoshoot or a fix-it/mod party. It's just a way of encouraging folks to get together and build the community. Honestly, the only thing it is meant to cost is a small investment in time. I can say with a pretty good amount of certainty that it is not going to be changed.

I'm reading you loud and clear.

I wasn't asking for the policy to be changed, I was just curious if the economic downturn had reached as far as the . I think it is a terrific policy, keeping out those wishing to unlock membership like it's an XBox achievement.

I have no illusions about getting into the until years from now, if ever. It'll probably take me as long to regroup as it does to become a contributing member of m|u, although I hope not as long as I think for either.

Didn't mean for it to sound like I was questioning the validity of it. It really is a great policy and exceptions suck as a general rule!

I'm not going to go into any detail, but I can assure you that all of us on the team are experiencing the same kinds of difficulties as everybody else. TBH, there's really nothing mysterious or difficult about becoming beyond sticking around, positively contributing to the community and having a little something in common with the rest of us.

I can't believe I've been a member of this site for 2.5 years and just now made an intro thread last month. Thanks for letting me know I hadn't made one Adam, I appreciate it
