I am pretty sure I have axle vibration like crazy. I really need to find a way to raise the motor. Any idea on how to do so? And I say "pretty sure" because my control arm bushings were so bad I couldn't tell the difference between that and axle vibration. Replaced the bushings, and still shakes like crazy at about 65-70 mph and higher. And sometimes under full throttle.

These are amazing pictures by the way...

Thanks for the compliment!

But yeah as long as your bushings are in good shape and your wheels are balanced I would think it's the axle vibrating. Recently I looked up axle vibrations on here and a couple threads that came up talked about raising the motor. Ill try and see if I can find them for you. It's funny my last MINI never had a vibration after I lowered it. Maybe it was because it was on 16's and the axle wasnt at as bad of an angle.

Sorry for the slow response. I'm using a Canon T2i on a tripod with a 30 second shutter speed in a very dark area. After you hit the shutter you run around shining a light on the car to light it up. Sounds easy when you say it like that lol. And I use Photoshop. Glad you like them!

LAMARR-S53 was lurking Instagram and found a picture someone took of my car at a red light haha. Also, wrapped gas cap and door handles. Can't wait for mystery meat.

Well, I have an unfortunate update. The other day on my way to work a lady pulled out infront of me and I couldn't avoid hitting her. Guess she didnt see me, darn tiny car. Her insurance is giving me a check which will more than cover the cost of fixing it, seeing as we're doing it ourselves. Now to decide what to do with the extra money i'll have after and if I should go with another S bumper or get an aero bumper.

Here's the results

Oh and on a happier note I took the car to an autocross recently. First time in this car and it was a blast and everyone liked it.

Raised it up a little before and boy am I glad I did cause I had to do a little off roading to get to the airstrip the autocross was at.

Nothing freaks me out more when driving than the idea of someone pulling out in front of me. Glad to hear you're okay. Its clear the headlight/hood/bumper are mangled, but did that front right wheel make it out okay, or will that need replacing as well?

whoa. holy crap. looks like everyone was ok though, which is good news.

make sure you get the frame thoroughly checked though, and spend the money on a a frame aligner who has a good frame bending machine. you don't want to have to deal with issues like that down the road.

good luck

Thanks everybody!

The wheels and suspension are fine thankfully, mostly just cosmetic stuff like the hood, bumper, headlight, some trim and the passenger dash airbag. Hoping to have a new hood and bumper painted soon so it can start getting back to normal. Then I can get my focus back to my next set of wheels.

I'm glad everyone is unhurt. And I can't wait to see what you've got in store for the wheels.
