I got totally choked up watching the coverage tonight. I'm glad I was here to see history being made.
Excellent speech by McCain. IMO his time was eight years ago, but that's water under the bridge. Obama's got a tough road ahead. I hope he's up to the task.

He has had an excellent political career, and has done great thing for our country. It was sad to see him stoop to levels he did towards the end of the election. If anyone deserved the presidency based on their patriotism, he did.
I have a picture with the President Elect.  Im the fat kid right above Obama's hand wearing the Atlanta Braves hat. I got to shake his hand too.

Wow, I can't believe it. It's finally over. I've been sucking in so much of this for the past 2 years, that it feels great to just finally let it go.
Words can't even describe of how happy I am for you guys. For the last 2 elections I've watched, I sat on the sidelines listening and seeing all the lies, the disrespect, the bigotry and so on coming from your current administration, and at the same time knowing that bad vibes from them were coming my way, as well as to the rest of the world. I can't begin to explain how much I feel about this right now, I'm exhausted. One thing for sure is, good luck, especially during these rough times. I think it's about time you got together and resolve these bleeding issues. Theirs a lot of homework that needs to be done but i'm pretty confident that everything will come through as strong as ever. Peace! I bet you guys have no idea how closely we in Australia watched.....though it is your country, the outcome effects us, as it does many other countries. We watched the coverage live....and lots of us stopped work to watch the speeches live... Plus I'm grateful that campaign is over....good god - you guys really need to restrict the campaign period to shorter than several years!! Congratulations - now you have the oppourtunity to regain your great nations' reputation in the world...

Well if I wasn't scared enough for my job with my company being bought now the government contracts will surely be cut to pay for some program. Oh well that is nothing in the great scheme of things.
Don't get me wrong I didn't want McCain either. I wanted people to wake up and decide that we have a ONE party system and nothing will change except who gets government handouts. I guess I will have to keep trying to insight a Revolution back to The Constitution and a No Party System.
