I don't know what solution I'd end up with. I know that I'm not going to translate anything online to whatever I do firsthand and when I do start the project I know where I would begin. I'm not going to be an engineer and buy because the maps suggest. I'm going to start low and test in the field until I get want I'm after. Again, my opinion is just that.... mine. The dodge thing is more of a problem I want to solve to better myself. Something thats been buggin me for near 10yrs now. At one point we had a 600hp Turbo engine ready, but the r50 was my DD and we knew it wasn't a weekend job. Now both are gone The zing thing in reference to NA... Something about revs tickle me. Speaking of which (these tangents = story of my life) - 2.0L bike v8.

You'll probably find the Rotrex would get better mileage day to day then even the Turbo with high compression. Unless you have a very trained foot to keep it from cracking any boost when crusing around town. As I said boost uses gas and since your not making any boost in the rotrex at 3000rpm your essentially getting the MPG's of a N/A car. There are other factors to make it more efficient such as a better exhaust since it won't have a Snail currled up in the manifold restricting air flow. But on the counter you have belt driven snail on the other end with the blower. It's a give take situation.

I personally am not a turbo fan having raced and owned many different turbo cars. Just not my cup of Tea. I love how the turbo guys always say you can make one feel like it doesn't have a turbo and get throttle response and get rid of Lag.... yet to drive car someones managed to do that on. And I did a rally school recently in Group N STi's with Antilag. They still lagged. That said I don't hate turbo's and I'd happily race one. Just if I have the option I'd go another route.

Looking through the past few pages again... I think I'm wrong in believing the M45 was OEM right? OEM was like M40...?? So much info from so long ago....

M45 is stock, it is different from other M45s though. It has the PTO drive for the water pump.

the same car that was 5sec behind mine at BW AND held up in traffic. So it was 8-9sec slower......not to mention Clint driving it who is better than dez imho
