Sad we can get a better series going for the mini world. In the USA that is.

Fiberglass Five star Chevrolet Monte Carlo, not a MINI Monte Carlo.

Seems more folks in the USA rather watch stock cars battle on a road-course then MINI's.

People gravitate to the sound, the speed & the exhaust flames of fire breathing stock cars. It's a much more visceral experience for the spectators.

I love them for sure haha

So what are you plans for the mini? just some track events for fun? I would like to see some new video of that thing. Maybe just some street videos?

I plan on racing the MINI again at some point.

Right now I'm just following the course of least resistance to cost effective racing.

Both basic cost and sponsor support seem to be calling me towards the stock-car.

Ill get you some race MINI track video as soon as it cools down around here & I have a spare weekend to enter it in a race.

Driving the race MINI on the street is like asking the cops, "arrest me now please!"

The NASCAR road race this past weekend was wild with Marcus Ambrose showing his Aussie Super Car skillz at the very end . Good stuff

Stock car road racing is far more economical then racing just about anything else. The $ per speed is un-real. I have a feeling my next race car will likely be a stock car. They are purpose built and parts for the most part are CHEAP and available just about anywhere. Don't have the same hold backs and expensive failures you get when trying to race something designed for the street.

Exactly what I've found.

It blows my mind that a new set of big meaty stock car slicks are hundred$ less then a set of slicks or R-compound tires for the MINI!

Pos No. Name Best time In lap Best speed Diff Gap Laps
40 4 Bob Scheer 2:20.199 1 77.033 21.522 6.446 3

What happened? Why only three laps? Traction issues with the lap time?

i saw randy on saturday after he spoke with bob. he said bob ran on old rubber and hoped they would still be ok but turned out the tires were too old and wouldn't hold.
