Probably increased new r56 sales in the past few weeks as well. (might be their objective) I think it looks better in less distorted shots than the spy shots that were leaked, but im still not a fan. If i were in the market for a new mini i would certainly be placing my order for an r56 before they are not an option any more.

It's not like these renderings are leaked by MINI/BMW. When have they ever leaked 3D renderings to hype up a new model.....let alone such awful 3D renderings?

It's a fairly common practice for automotive media sources to make concept renderings as filler content while they speculate about future car releases. They generally do an awful job at it. I'm surprised people still buy into them, honestly.

Humster3d (the license plate) is a site where you can buy 3D models. That appears as if someone just went and bought the R56 model and dragged/stretched some of the splines to mimic a future design.

yeah, they're definitely not official from MINI. Just someone that tried to make a 3D model based off of the spy shots.

The nose is too long. The short nose is a key design element of the minil

MINI does not have much choice with this unfortunately, new front crash test standards are forcing this. Look at the latest Benz SLKs and SLs...

Hmmmm.... Well then... They just need to just move the windshield 12" forward along with the rest of the body.... Engine becomes mid-engined for better weight distribution.... MINI becomes mini again.... And still meet pedestrian protection because they started with a longer bonnet....

There.... Fixed....

Not to mention.....no length of hood is going to make it "safe" to be run down by a car.
