Default Yo, from Vermont

Hi. I just joined The Underground and look forward to hanging out. I purchased my first Mini this past June and like it a lot. It's (just an effing) R50 and has really high miles. It's a really early build '02 and has thus experienced some issues. I've done all the work myself so far, some for fun, but mostly to keep it on the road. So far: fuel pump, fuel filter (had to convert to later style complete filter module, world record for most expensive fuel filter maintenance), brakes, thermostat housing (cracked) and radiator (leaking), new silicon coolant hoses in Groovy Red, SRI, Scorpion exhaust, MSD coil and 8.5mm Magnecores, Bosch +4 plugs, Sprint Booster (HLF, what a great upgrade!!!), expansion tank (also leaking), battery, MAP sensor, O2 sensors (x2), and some superfluos embellishments here and there. I commute 150 miles a day and put about 1K a week on the car total. I can make excuses for replacing so much since the car has just under 200K on the clock. My wife is a tougher sell... The way I see it, I'm a new clutch, power steering pump, alternator, water pump, and engine away from a new Mini. And I like this car enough to keep smiling. So maybe I need couch time, but this is one of the coolest, most enjoyable cars I've ever spent spent way too much time working on. See you on the lists. Dan from Vermont.
