Default Waterfest 2008

Not as cool as H2O but still a good time if you're into the whole euro style

Who's down to go? Wanderer I assume you're going right?

What I propose is that we try to get there way earlier than last year as we basically missed the show due to that crazy traffic jam and we'll probably be better off going on the first day(July 19th) rather than the second

http://www.waterfest.net/

It worked pretty well to meet up outside the show and cruise in together. We could even try to get into club parking.....maybe.

Rally, for parking in the exhibition area, the first day is the best. Youre on the spot that the show cars will be the following day. Sat you dont need to get there so early. The gates dont open till 11 I think.
Sun they move exhibition to another lot. Def get there early if you want to park close to the show. I have been stuck FAR away near the dumpsters a few times. Its a long walk if its hot or raining. And the outside lot??? Thats even further.
Also, register in advance. You get in a bit quicker.

Dont think Ill be there for both days this year. Ill probably head down for Sun only.

Yah....only issue is that at waterfest and h2o MINI's aren't allowed in the club/exhibition parking since they aren't VAG So we generally have to sneak in with the VW clubs we're affiliated with.

Have you actually been stopped at the gates from getting in?

I actually haven't tried sneaking in to waterfest....I just always email asking if I can register for parking and they always turn me down saying that they've gotten too many complaints of BMW's and other non-VAG cars parking in there.

At last year's H2o we snuck in no problem.....but I had a registration card from a VW owner that couldn't make it so it was registered as a jetta.

I don't think we'll have any problem getting through the gate as the gate workers generally don't care as long as you have the card in the window.....we just have to register as VW beetles or something goofy

Thats just dumb. Whod complain about that? Its exhibition, not the show.

Id try it this year. Register as a Beetle or Audi. See what happens at the gate. Youve paid, so they should let you in. Then again it is Englishtown.

Did you try to get in the show at H2O? Or was this on Sat for the BBQ?

Hahaha I don't know who would complain about something like that

We got in on the show day at h2o without too much trouble.

Were you trying to show or park? No one should say anything if youre just trying to park. I see every make parked there.
