Default M|U Grille Badges group buy.

(Approved by Ivan and Hollis3)

I have been wanting to move to something looking a little better than decals with my Lotus so I have come up with this badge.

I am looking to see how may pre-orders I can get done before I cough up the cash for the best deal at 30 units.

Please PM me with inquiries on preordering them for yourself.

I will be inquiring on larger quantity if we get enough people to justify that.

Below is the e-mail I have received from the company I looked into. I intend to sell these at cost to me plus any shipping to you. I HOPE to have them before the Dragon so we don't have to deal with that. I am inquiring about studs, though I know I want the adhesive for where I will mount mine. Please tell me if any others really prefer adhesive to studs.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Lance,

Attached is the proof for your badges. What type of attachment would you
like on it? We can put to rear mounting studs or we can put an all over
adhesive.

15 - 3 inch round cloisonné grille badges are $39.00 each, plus shipping.
20 - 3 inch round cloisonné grille badges are $34.00 each, plus shipping.
25 - 3 inch round cloisonné grille badges are $29.00 each, plus shipping.
30 - 3 inch round cloisonné grille badges are $27.00 each, plus shipping.

Call me to order or you can place your order online here

Your order code is: Arrow Badges

Thanks,
Luke

Lance,

Attached is picture of the rear mounting studs.

Yes, we can switch out the colors at no additional cost.

You cannot mix the tape and stud option because the studs are solder on
early in the process.

Thanks,
Luke

Lance,

Yes, we can do some of the badges in gold and some in silver. The gold is
an extra $2.00 per badge and keep in mind it is not as durable as the
silver.

I also spoke with our mold make and it looks like we can do 1 badge without
the double posts for an $5.00. I hope this helps.

I'll wait to hear from you on Monday.

Thanks,
Luke

Let me sumarize my expectations.

When I get them I will find out those needing them shipped. I will then ship the USPS to you with any insurances and tracking you desire. I will expect you to read the costs and paypal me that when you receive your badges. I assume it will be under $5ish stateside. Those overseas I will communicate to you and let you know the costs so we can examine options. I have added enough that shipping to me is covered, my paypal fees of $1.14(I think) each, the $20ish estimated shipping to me, and that leaves me with enough to be sure there are sufficient washers and padding material available to mount them as soon as you have them in your hands. When I have them I will be using Cavemans ride to assure I have what is needed for easy attaching.

You trusted in me to deliver them for $30 each, and I trust you to send me the shipping costs to me when you receive them. I like USPS for the well displayed cost on the package and the free priority packaging. I have some concern about the posts making them not easily fit into their boxes, but that is something I will have to deal with once they are in my hands.

I am truly thankful for the level of support from the μ team and the response of the membership as a whole. You may wish to thank me for getting the ball rolling and you are most certainly welcome, but know it is quite exciting to have the overwelming positive response to this that you all have given me. Thank you.

My paypal is xanthus [at] floridaridez.org please specify both your username and color you are ordering and look for the addition in the initial post in this thread.

If I were to ever put a grill badge on my car, that would be the one. That would look killer.

Are there options for alternate colors? I'd rock one of these....but would prefer a more subtle look.

And when you say studs.....that means the studs normally used for grill mounting right?

Colors likely will be a completely different order. (This is an assumption I will ask to be certain.)

I am inquiring now in detail about the studs, but at this time I believe that that is exactly what they are refering to.

You all are quite welcome, it's been something I have wanted to do for a time now. I am quite sure you can contact them and order them in any color combo you want. I want one in red, I will do what I can to make it cheaper for me in the end and put them in others hands at my cost. I assume any team members are fine go get them quoted out in any color variation as well.

I really like the idea of it as well, but would also love to see it in more subtle colors.

I'd be interested, but do you have a bolder color combination?

JK, black and red work for me.

I will handle red and black ones, anything else is there a μ team member willing to front the cost of an additional group buy? As it stands I will be paying $27 X 30 for a total of $810 before any shipping cost. I am not going to charge a penny over what it cost me to get them and get them to you, though I assume there will be a minimal increase per unit to equate the shipping cost to me. Now I MIGHT get good news on being able to maintain discount with different colors. I will keep you informed.

Again I hope to have them at MOTD so no further shipping cost would be required for attendees.

Well kinda worked backwards to what I had thought, but good news for you all, slightly bad for me as I do not want the posts.

What color options do you subtle folks want to go with? I would like to get an idea of how best to spend my money securing these as I'd hate to have ones in odd colors nobody wants. I will add one each to the color combos that get prepays for assuming someone else will also want them. PM me with what you want and I will give you methods to pay for them.
