The Chad Mod
I have never seen anyone else do it. So I am dubbing this THE CHAD MOD. Sure someone somewhere has done it but whatever... lol
Chad was the first I saw to do this. An now I am doing it too. Not for my car. But a couple long term builds we have. Special customers... etc Forgive the poor pics, and for that matter lack of pics.. I thought the camera was set to RAW, and I tend to under expose. but SOOOOMEONE coughchadcough switched it back to JPG when I wasnt looking. WHATEVER! Cut the lens off. I have used a screw driver and hammer to do this before. Chad found just using a dremel cutting wheel was easier and less risk of cracking the lens. So I did that LOL   there are plastic welds on the back side. Three to be exact. You can see where the tabs are on the front of the red reflector. Grind that shizzle off and they'll come apart.  Prep, paint and I used 6 minute epoxy to put them back together!  The END  Pics on the car later!

haha well that was sooooo two years ago. lol and it's only specific to the white center lights! LOL yeah that's the ticket.

Thanks man.
Chad's car looks so sick with his color combo. I dont think it would work on ALL cars.. some might need color matching. etc.

Yah I ended up color matching mine because the black was too much on a red car.
For anyone who is planning on doing this and has the facelift brake lights, the chrome surround is no longer separate from the red lense like it was on the above lights. You can remove the chrome with the proper chemicals and it will reveal the translucent red plastic to give an all red effect. If you want the black surround, you'll have to mask it off accordingly.

when I took the Chrome off with denatured alch it was shiny black under it. wieeerrrd
