Default Nick's Indi Blue R53

I figured I would start a garage thread so I can see the progress my car makes. As well as a place to post stupid questions that I might have

This is my second mini.

My first MINI was a red and black R50 with the two tone tan and black leather interior. It was a 5 speed. I loved that car and then I wrecked it into a tree

My new MINI is...

Indi blue and White with blue and black leather interior. 6 speed. It has no sunroof and it has the H&K sound system...

Future plans are...

More power

And then debate on weather or not I want to go low and then if I go low I will need new wheels.

Any way I am looking forward to it

Nick

On a scale of 1 to 10 one being changing spark plugs and ten being puling the motor. How hard is a pulley install? Could I do it with a set of directions on line or do I need a bently? With the proper tools of course. And the 15 % is the most recomended for street driving and with the mix of canyon carving ?
Thanks for answering my dumb questions
Nick

On the door cards and the down tubes of my mini the light silver paint has some issue areas where I can see the plastic underneath. Where can I buy the paint to re paint them.
Thanks
Nick

Default K-sports

Does any one have experience with k -sport coil overs? I can get a set of brand new coils for $700. Is that a good buy or does stuff like that come up often?

Thanks
Nick

Got to detail and drive a 2003 ish BMW M5 a few weeks ago. The car has a lot more paint on it than I expected. I will post pictures once my internet connection speed will let me.

Also here are some pictures of my old whip...

1998 Volvo S70 T5 5 speed AKA The Black Beast
Black on Black one of only 300/400 in the United States...
236Hp and 215 tq from the factory if my memory serves me right.
Mods to it includ
3 Inch turbo back exhaust with a high flow car and race muffler
It was chipped to run 17psi
MBC set to 17psi
Cold Air Intake
22MM Rear sway bar
IPD lowering Springs
IPD clear corners
HIDS
and I am sure there are other things that I am forgeting

With the go fast bits I had I should have been north of 280 whp and 280 tq or Enough to brake the tires loose in 3rd gear at 60mph...

It was stupidly fast for what it was...

Thanks!

I'm looking for some used adjustable rear control arms now too.
