I don't know how true that is. I spend a lot of time on various car forums and it's common on some other "cult" make forums to see people taking on projects of much larger proportions and not taking the easy way out with sticker mods or $5 spray can blackouts. You see people laying down real resin, doing custom bodywork, etc. That's pretty rare on MINI forums

it has to do with the price range cars are in and the following they have.
the s2000 forum used to be filled with people doing stuff like that. after they crossed under the 10k mark, the boards were filled with people you're describing.

personally, i feel this is a step up from plastidip- but to each his own.

Nah, Honda's, VW's, and most older BMW's are in a price bracket much lower than MINI's usually.

The cheap ones usually don't make it too long before people decide they aren't in good taste.

there's nothing wrong with liking dry carbon.. but this is literally as sticker... you know when you go to a trailer park, and they wood onthe wall is a laminate. Looks all cheezy and fake. Yeah... same ish.

Jeesh Tüls, just say what you feel. By all means, please don't hold anything back. And feel free to insult as many people as possible, their homes and decor.....

Why would I not say what I feel? Sorry if I insulted your trailer.

I could Jeesh this whole thread and everyone like it. It's not "dry carbon wrap" it's VINYL STICKER. It's really irritating to keep seeing new threads pop up over and over about "dry carbon wrap" I get all excited and then realize. Nope. More vinyl BS.
