Default CANYON MOTORSPORTS Questions

Since I talk to Bob fairly regularly, I get a lot of questions answered... But I know a few other people have asked me questions... So here is an "ask Bob" thread.

to start: What is your tire/wheel setup for the racecar?

The wheels are Motegi Trak-lites 17x8 in black! Tires are changing next year for the U.S.T.C.C. rule book & they haven't announced the new "spec" tire yet.

Q: How did you shave the mirrors? Was it hard to make the fill-in blank?

HANKOOK ventus z-211 model 225/45ZR17
HIGH GRIP DOT "R" COMPOUND shaved to 4/32

Expensive, didn't last long, & they don't take many heat cycles!
Not a good choice in my opinion.

I removed the Mirror & used the rubber gasket as a template/pattern to trace onto some sheet metal, cut them out & siliconed them to the doors in place of the stock mirrors then covered them with some race series stickers.

My Mini was a n extra pain in the azz, because the previous owner covered every inch of the interior with Dyno-mat. If its just a regular Mini strip job, it shouldn't be too bad.

OK, I have a question for Canyon Mini. If you are in a Beer drinking challenge and you have been selected to drink a fruity brew you have never heard of, do you still do it?

Q: What is your favorite alcholic beverage?

Q2: When did you get started in racing...and why?
