What intercooler do you run on your race engine?

Thoughts on the Alta v.1 top mount intercooler? I've had my eye one for a while.

Hey Bob,

I'm getting involved with a local race team who will be running a MINI in the Unlimited Class at NASA enduros in 2007.

They must be nuts because they've asked me to be one of the drivers. I think they just want my "extra time and my deedleleedleleedlelee money"

May I run a sponsorship prospectus by you for comments?

Thanks,
Jerry

We were running the Alta V1. We just got the OK to run a front mounted intercooler this year, so we will redesigning a whole new setup.

Congratulation's Jerry, You will have a ton of fun & be a great a$$et to your Mini race team! I would be glad to take a look at your sponsorship prospectus if you would like. Hollis & Ivan helped me allot with mine, you might want there input too.

Best of luck with your race team!

I just want pictures of the engine buildup! I'm sure some of the stuff is confidential, but c'mon... raw engine stuff wrecks my dixie!

No word on the new U.S. Toring Car spec tires for the 2007 season yet, or even a schedule of races published yet.

It's kind of o.k. with me right now because we are just buttoning up some lose odds & ends on the new motor setup & I want to test the new motor & adjust/tune the suspension setup for the new series spec tire at the same time.

Tüls is right on the money as usual! Taking the gas pedal is the tricky part though. To get the gas pedal off you need to slide the whole gas peddle assembly to the drivers left twoards the brake pedal, then under the gas peddle assembly is a gray plastic pedal support plate secured to the floor with a couple of screws. After you remove the screws you can lift the plastic gas pedal support plate up & out. Then the carpet can be pulled out, be careful/gentle, the older the carpet the easier it will tear!

Good luck!
