Pilo was importing those from breyton as well i believe. The problem came when someone realized that the drivers side was a whole INCH wider than the passenger side due to some problem with the molding

-You could easily offer smooth paint-ready versions as well...but the black plastic version is required IMO

-nothing too wide....just enough to get some fatter wheels/tires under there

I will get a p-shop ready soon....DISCUSS!
I will posting more information regarding "our" V1 development which addresses exactly what you are asking... That would of course be followed by V1.5, etc all the way to...can't say right now...

I've been thinking about trying to do this forever but have never messed with it. I was thinking about taking a set of stock moldings, and putting a row of bolts down the outside edge the length that I want, then use a fiberglass or some material like that to make into the shape I want. Hmm, maybe I'll have to start playing.

The wide arch look is something I have been interested in ever since the MINI came out. I even saved this pic from a British mag of a euro-style kit ( can't remenber the name now and the mag is no longer in circulation)...

To the back of the line with you

Seriously, this design will incorporate front splitter, vent extractors and will bolt up to the fender with OEM specs...they will also have an embedded paint line for those who wish to paint the pieces...the idea is to allow clearances for wheels up to 9-10" wide and tires in the 235-245mm width range...

We have to look at whether this will be too rediculous for the Mini...if so, we may back down to 8-9" adn 225-235mm tires...

This will depend on the tire envelope of the Mini...we want to maintain the proper offset balance so as to not destroy the bearings...this means the width of the wheel will extend equally inboard/outboard...rear trailing arm clearance and turning radius will be a challenge...

hmm sounds like it will be cool but too aggressive for me....the mini isnt a race car.

The simple .5 inch extensions would be nice
