100k is what the factory suggests, if I remember right. I'm way overdue (121k).

Yah, 100K.

In all honesty, you could probably keep 'em in for much longer depending on your driving habits. I've only seen one crack off and munch up in a Honda. Started running like a$$, pulled plugs, and found a tip gone into the blue...

I had the same issue as Drewmon regarding the Denso Iridiums backing out. Luckily working at a performance shop I check everything almost once a week. I liked what the Denso's did but after reading threads on here about the JCW plugs and then the GP plugs I managed to track those down! The dealership wanted $40 a plug but I found them for $16 elsewhere. Since moving to these I have the same feel if not slightly better than the Densos and no crappy idle anymore!

if your car is tracked you should change them long long long before 100k. More like 40-50k... I cracked an ngk in my alfa track car at 30k. Learned alot about how to rebuild an engine after that... scored cylinders and all.

cheap insurance for a track rat imo.

From personnal experience, I have had nothing but bad luck with the Denso plugs. I switched to the NGK Iridiums and they have been working out a lot better. I had about 30,000 miles on a set of NGKs when I swapped out my head, and they were in great shape. I put in new plugs with the new head just for GP.

I had a Denso blow out and had one loose its electrode.

Well, just had them replaced. Right on time, too. Tomorrow is the dyno, and I'm stocked!! I'm actually leaving for Disney tomorrow, too... (Oh, snap! On a side note, I still have to freakin' pack!! Damn...)

Well anyways, I took Bruiser's advice and went with the NGK's IX Iridiums, and we'll see how that goes...

Later everybody, and thank you for all your help!
Leo.
