You should post your progress with this... I'm curious what your findings will be.

Gonna out this one out there, been thinking about it for some time now.

I am probably going to geet new wheels this summer.
The list includes previous wheels listed in this thread 15x8-16x8 with a 10-20 offset.

The past few week I have been looking at Rally's car for some inspiration.
After doing so I want to run some big, blocky cruiser wheels for a while I think.
This is what I would LOVE to run...

Mercedes Benz AMG Monoblock II Chrome
18x8 et31
Click the image to open in full size.

Now the set of these are 18x8-18x9rear.
I would probably have to run two front sets...
Bolt pattern is an issue too.....
Can get the rim in a 17 i think too...

Thoughts???

I would do 18x8 all around...
If I went for the 17's, would probably end up painting or polishing.

Rally...your car would look so dope with those chrome or polished AMG Monoblocks....

So its been a LONG LONG while since I lasted posted.

Not much is new with the car, she turned 157,000 the other day.

One problem, this:

Forced me t oget new tires. Thats what happens when you run them till they give out. I was running the Sportmax wheels with 215/45/17 on them. I had a pic of the car with the front wheels being totally different, Excel TZ-10 with a 204/4017 on it, but lost the pics. Its too bad because I had pics with all 3 wheels on the car. I really would like to go back to the 15's, but with some more beef, so thats what I did.

Dunlop 205/55/15. I was runing 205/50/15 before. This feels better handling, and also fills out the wheel wells more. Yes yes yes, LOOK AT THAT WHEEL GAP!!!! This is also the most I have spent on tires for this car, something like $105 a piece before mounting and stuff.

Now I have to order a new set of BC racing coilovers for the front(rears are waiting to go in) and the stance should be dialed in once again.

Other things needed:

Brakes all around, rotors and pads.
New clutch
Haven't had power steering for ages, but dones't bother me.
ABS wheel sensor needs attention.
New bushings throughout the suspension.
New paint for a few rust spots that have started to spring up.
Finally install the engine stabilizer...

Hopefully things happens week by week. Looking to do the brakes this weekend, the clutch the next. I have thought about getting a new car many times, but I can't bring myself to sell it. This is the car I want to be able to give to my son...corny right...

As far as the classic goes, its far down on the list of things that need financial attention. I may try and get the old A-Series engine going again...but thats if I ever can find the time for it...

So the MINI is at 173,00 miles and needs a little love.

Was thinking about trading it in.

The dealer offered me $1000 for a trade in value. $1000!!! For that price I am gonna keep it and just buy something new.

Some type of 4x4, maybe a light duty pickup.

We'll see where the road takes me, but I am certainly not leaving my car or this awesome forum for a friggin' $1000.

I may be naive, but $1000 for your car sounds like an insult. What sort of love are we talking?

$1000.00! i would have not said a word and just got up & walked away!

Either that or returned the insult by saying something about his or hers mother...
