Default 4 ohm resistor

Im looking for a 4 ohm resistor so when i switch my seat out it should cancel the airbag light. If anyone can post up a link or something where i can get one that would be awesome. I have been googling,m but im suppose to be in class right now. I need it as soon as possible. Thanks guys. and if Ralph is reading this, thanks for the help, sorry if i sounded a little wierd. I had to get to class really fast, haha so i was in a hurry. Anyway thanks

Oh, and I don't think you'll find a 4... 3.9 ohms will be the closest standard value and that'll work just fine.

If you get this to work I need to know how. I tried this on my 06 when swapping seats and it didn't help. I need to try to reclear my faults again though.

I don't know that radio shack has these as they are kinda big. I never found one there myself at least.
I got mine from here http://www.nteinc.com/ and it came like next day

This is what it looks like

there's no need to run a single resistor. you just need to simulate the load of the airbag system, whether it's one or four or eight. four 10ohm resistors in parallel = 2.5ohms.

one thing you need to do is measure the static load of the seat with a digital multimeter. Mine spec'ed out at 2.3ohms... '06 MCS. I'm going to order 16ohm 1watt. Run seven in parallel for 2.285 net. I can get 2.2 or 2.4 but only in 1/4 watt max.

best sites I found for a good selection:

http://www.koaspeer.com/ or www.alliedelec.com

and remember....

Hey Chace, ... if you want mine just send me your address and it's yours. I don't remember exactly what ohm it is, but I used the same ones on my '03 and never had a single issue.

Chase, even though you asked me how I handled the light in a PM I thought I'd share.

We used the very high tech piece of black electrical tape on the back of the gauge face method.

Will do Chace.
Also, make sure you disconect your battery and remove the key before you do any seat removal.
