soooo.... the boy and i are officially moving out of his parents house!!! we just got an email this morning letting us know that our rental application for the house we are interested in was accepted!!!!

its awesome, 3 bedroom, 3 bath... fireplace, wet bar, patio, sun room, jacuzzi bathtub, 2 car garage, fire pit, giant yard...

huge huge upgrade for us... we are so excited.

now i need to plan a party. perhaps a mini-mod day seeing as how we have a huge garage and a huge yard, and a dog pen.

so if you misbehave, you go in the pen.

heh.

Wow sounds great!!! Congrats!!!!! I, personally would use the pen to house exotic animals, like a pygmy hippo.

All is well and I am back to my usual disposition as a technology whore.

oh, we think alike! luckily the landlords are taking care of all the yard work (mowing, trimming, snow removal), but if they weren't i was proposing a pygmy goat so we could let him loose and he could trim the grass for us and provide us with fertalizer!!!

hehehe. plus, it would just be cool to have a pygmy animal of any sort.

Ya got to get the fainting goats. They are like pygmy goats but they fall over when they get excited. Fun!

Fainting goats are awesome!!!!!! My friend had one in middle school. I used to go over to his place after school and we would try and make the goat faint. Ahhhh good times.

Welllllllll, that's pretty funny story actually.

When this all came to a head, I really couldn't remember if I took the damn thing off my desk or not Monday night.

Since I stopped in at the one place (pet food store) I went to on the way home and nobody had the phone there, I figured it must be back at work. Went to work and no sign of it.

Went home, thought about it and went back to work to check with the cleaning crew. Where they all decided to forget English.

Went home again. Figuring I'd hit the trail on Tuesday to see what I could find(call the office building mgmt. to see if anybody brought it in, try calling to see if anybody answers, etc.).

Went to work on Tuesday and after surmising the situation with my office peers, they were convincing me the cleaning crew pocketed the device.

Mmmmmkay. After venting in the negative energy thread and noting I had not a shred of proof of the thing being anywhere I stepped back, chilled, and developed a game plan of:

- Stopping back by the pet food store and the shops nearby to see if anybody turned the iPhone in
- If no dice there, go home and destroy the house to ensure nothing silly happened there to hide the device (ringer was on and we called it countless times to not hear a single ring - but it never hurts to check again)
- If the house revealed nothing again, tear apart the car for the third time
- Finally, if nothing turned up I'd go buy another one and get insurance

So I stopped in at the pet food store and asked if anybody turned in a phone. The gent at the door said "No, but a lady thought she heard a phone ringing back in the dog food section..."

Hellfire, I zipped back to the section where I was Monday night and, borrowing a phone, dialed my number to hear my ringer chirping from deep within the bags of dog food.

Apparently, when I pulled the specific bag of dog food I needed out of the stack (second to the bottom of course) and reassembled the resultant mishmash of bags into a neat stack again, my iPhone managed to eject out of my jacket pocket and land squarely face down between the bags of dog food.

So, 22 calls later nobody managed to answer the ringing bag of dog food.

I was actually really damn lucky that it landed in between the bags. Had the phone managed to go elsewhere it easily could've actually wandered off with anybody vs. remaining hidden.

Everybody got a good laugh and nobody came out worse for wear, but damn what a roller coaster ride.

On sale this week - buy a 40# bag of food and get a free iPhone...

That's the best story I've heard this year. It was very well written. I'm glad you found the phone.

*lol* that's a good one...

More positive stuff: I entered the paperwork for the first GLP on the Nordschleife on 04/05 yesterday.
12 laps in race trim on the nordschleife with a few competitors, transponders, safety car, medical car and marshals along the track.

So we arranged for a pilgrimage to the 'ring on good friday to do a few laps upfront.

*note to self: need to pick up the summer tires*
