transparent paint is difficult to achieve. i dont think that's painted carbon, i think it's a carbon fiber/kevlar composite.

like this stuff:

These could all be posted in appropriate places (i.e the MINIs in the 'house of MINI' thread and the porsche in the 'house of porsches' thread). If you want to point out how cool the paint job is....I usually put something in the post like "look at the detail in this paintjob [img]"

Those house threads were created to organize things into appropriate styling cues. Further dividing any image collection will create a more disorganized environment. The house threads that already exist are adequate to hold 99.5% of any car image that you come by that is of any importance whether it's the wheels, paint, stereo, lap times, interior, or hp numbers that make it noteworthy.

So let's try keeping the new house threads to a minimum. We obviously appreciate any new image sharing, but it would be best for everyone if they were posted in the appropriate threads so that we don't need to view 50 house threads to see the new pictures of the day.

(PS this isn't pointed just at this thread, but more of a general commentary towards all of the new House threads ever created after the originals)

I definitely agree with Rally. Not too sure what happened tonight with all the lame-ass "house of" threads popping up, but it's not very m|u of us to do something like that. But somehow it's even less m|u of us to censor those threads. Maybe they just should have been merged....

I agree, house thread numbers are skyrocketing.

I did the body stuff I'm tired, so either someone else can take a stab at the wheels or I'll get them done tomorrow morning. It's not all that great, but it's like 3 am, so.. haha
