What are you trying to do?

I use Flickr in my postings, just copy & paste the link of the image source into a post here.

Hmmm, I'm not seeing an image source link when I click share, only the url link.
I'll keep experimenting, I'm sure it's me.

-In flickr, you go to the picture you want to post.
-On the bottom right corner of the picture, there should be a button you can click to download the picture. -When you click on it, a drop down menu for the size of picture you want to download. Right-click on the the desired size. For the posting on forums, I would not recommend choosing a size greater than 1000pixels on any dimension. -Copy the link (left clicking will download to your computer). - On this forum, click on the picture icon for posting pictures. (Insert Image) - paste your copied link into the URL box. This will generate the HTML IMG command around the image URL that you pasted. ![]()

![]() Still only the link, maybe it's because I'm trying to do it through the app? When I get to the size options it only downloads, no link to copy.

that's the wrong link address. I get the photo URL from a browser, not the app. The URL is usually a jpg.
I'm not sure how to do it from a phone or tablet. Sorry. I tried tapping on "Save Photo" and the choices for size comes up. Not sure how to capture the URL from that. If you know how to do that, please do share on this thread.

Right, don't think that works with an App.

I tried cutting the URL from the Flickr app.

, I finally just got out the laptop and did it from the website, but even then it wasn't cut and dried, but at least I got it to work.
And yes I tried everything from the app, even compared exact picture size links between the app and the website, they are different and there's no simple modification to the code that works. The only thing I haven't tried is accessing the website from my phone and trying to get the proper url from there. Just haven't had the time. But at least I was able to get pics up for my build thread update.

On the desktop version what I use that works is the "BBCode" under share options for the picture - I'm also using the "profesional" or whatever its called account. Idk if that makes a difference to the options
![]() Looks like this [ url=https://flic.kr/p/LeTz6x ] [ img]https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8183/29036874285_0fe60206df_k.jpg[/img][/url ] [ url=https://flic.kr/p/LeTz6x]DSC_0236[/url ] by [ url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/batsonphotography/]Batson Creative[/url ], on Flickr If you remove the spaces (added to show the code) between the brackets at the start and end of each code line it will display the same image as above. If you remove the last 2 lines of the code it removes the tag to the file name (3rd line of code) and the hyperlink to your account (last line of code) Last edited by 07hardtop; 05-11-2018 at 05:38 PM.. |

I think if I post anything from my Flickr images, I will still go through my desktop.
I have enough trouble getting spelling corrected to something I did not intend to say, on my cell phone, let alone trying to enter URLs from a touch screen. Thanks for following up on this issue. ![]() ![]()
