I didnt realize what it was until I saw on the internet, it is very cool. I think I need to go take some long exposure now

Yeah, I had to break out my wife's DSLR and the tripod for this one.

I wanted to get in on this but I could not find the moon tonight it was way too low and we had too many buildings and trees in the way, as well as clouds... deff post your pix guys

so did anyone get pictures? my friend got some but they were washed out from the lights around him

That's exactly what it looked like... everywhere (in the northern hemisphere).

It looked really good in the desert where I live. Very clear sky and not a lot of light pollution. What is a good way to set-up my Canon Rebel XT for a shot like this?
