Bob came up with a perfect plan for the A sedan race , followed it to a T and won his class. He was up against a much more powerfull mustang which had one weakness , rear drum brakes ( class rule for the mustang ) . Bob's plan was to push him as hard as he could in the early stages and his four wheel discs ( class rule for Cameo ) would last longer. He did , they did and he got a very well deserved win. Well worth the trip out there , thanks Bob !

sorry I wasn't able to make it in. Ordinarily we have 4 run groups for autocross and that means we get a nice scheduled break. Today however they combined everybody into two run groups which meant we were either working or driving. Then they took what we were told was going to be a quick break for lunch.

Bummed I didn't make it in. Please keep us posted on when the other local races are.

On a side note those 914's were two 916-6's very rare . They were actually hanging on bob's bumber for 2 or 3 laps and then as the big guns got settled in they drifted back. Man that one ALM's car that stayed running looked like it could have lapped everyone if they wanted to . God that thing was fast I hope someone post pics of Bob's and Andy's cars. They are REALLY well sorted .
