Default New R53 owner just switched from VAG
I've actually been a member on her for a few years but may have only posted a few times since I was usually looking for info for my wife's Clubman. Well now I'm officially a Mini owner myself, first time in about 10 years I haven't owned a VW/Audi. Picked up an 06 MCS in pepper white with 40k on the clock this Tuesday and am loving it, it's everything my mkV GTI used to be and then some (or should I say, then less, as in a lot less extra weight), it also kills my last car which was a B6 A4 avant with the horrendous 1.8t (worst VW engine I've owned). I've got some plans already for the Mini but most will wait til the spring (coils are on the top of the list since I feel like I'm driving a Countryman right now), til then I'll be doing as much research as I can on here.

A quickie snapshot from the first evening I had it:

I live out on the north fork but am originally from Wantagh, I work in Hicksville so I'm all over the place.
