That figures. If I were to get a short shift adapter like the Helix one would the install be the same?

The helix one you also have to drop the exhaust and remove the heat shield. It's honestly not a hard install, just takes a little time, and like most things, it would be a lot easier on a lift than it was to do it off of jack stands like I did.

Wow, thats a nice mini you got there. Is it much work to make the steering wheel fit? I have thought of that swap since I bought my car.But....... Is it bolt on?

Just revisited this thread as it popped up on the "New Posts". I wish we lived like in the same neighborhood, well maybe not. We'd probably be working every waking hour (kinda like me anyway), and both be divorced.
Love those new coil overs!

Yup direct bolt on if you can find the wheel and airbag. Not too many all-leather jcw wheels around these days. The other alcantara wheel will bolt on as well.
