Default Stance and slammed Minis. Question

My question is about the people using the aluminum rear trailing arm and super low stances. Are you running into sway bar clearance issues at all? I'd like to hear yes or no with info on ride height and sway bar brand, .. and what the sway bar clearance is to the aluminum arm
Thanks
Greg V

Is this for R53 or R56 or does it matter?

I don't think it matters Chase, but mostly interested in the 53

Clearance issue as in the trailing arm hitting the swaybar?

At least with stock, it will never come in contact. From initial inspection, it certainly looks like it will, but your upper control arm will hit body before your trailing arm ever nears the swaybar. When I first started to bag my car, I was certain that the swaybar would hit, but as you compress the suspension through its range of travel they seem to travel well enough together to avoid conflict.

I never had an aftermarket sway on my r55, but most of them are rather similar shape to factory so I don't think they'd hit either.

Info:

R55 Non-S
Height - Full range from As-Low-As-I-Could to stock height
Sway Brand - OEM Cooper Sport
End Links - OEM

Thanks Rally. We had an issue with the Tarett sway bar hitting an newly installed aluminum arm on a lowered race car. So I guess we have found that a Tarett sway bar will not work on a lowered Mini with aluminum trailing arms. No issue with the Ireland and maybe a slight issue with the H-Sport.

Makes sense. I could see that being the case with those end arms and their angle.

No issue here at super low heights. 2010 MINI Cooper S w/ stock end links and Alta 19mm rear sway bar.
