Dont quote me on this....but i think that you can let it rust....then clear coat over it when its at the desired level of rustiness right? Maybe im completely wrong though.

I'm not sure, but i'd think if there was a clear coat it would be gloss like and it doesn't appear glossy... i dunno. It's just surface rust though.

Or maybe they just let it rust-through and buy another body eventually. I mean, c'mon... how hard would it be to transfer all the parts over? It's a bug!

yeah you can.. you can rust the surface and then clear coat. some people at my school did it to their projects. i think it looks sweet!
