Do yourself a favor and put that fork on properly. It's backwards in the pic, and that'll mess up the steering geometry. The brake booster should be in front. Wouldn't want anyone taking a header!!

what he said; fork should be rotated 180 with the axle tabs pointing forward...

It looks like it's fresh out of the packaging, guys; they're often shipped like that to avoid damage to the brakes, and given that's he's reading the instructions, I'd hope he'd have noticed. If he didn't though, good catch!

If I had a nickel for every bike I've seen (though they're usually ones assembled at Wal-Mart) with the fork stuck on backwards, I could probably afford another bike.

Just making sure you were paying attention.

Ah, she beat me to it!

Oreo, I worked as a mechanic in a small Philly bike shop for a short time, and I think we'd both be rich. haha

My first try at a mountain biking video with the GoPro HD Hero 2...

http://youtu.be/2GXVjRtIBf0

Conclusions...
- Handlebar mount is way too shaky
- The higher up you mount the camera, the slower it seems you're going, and the flatter the terrain looks
- Definitely going to be figuring out a lower spot on the frame to mount it (a la minimusprime). Way less shaky and better perspective

Sweet! I worked at a local Performance Bike shop for a couple of years back in the early 90's. A few years ago, a friend who owns a small local shop asked me for my help during a big weekend sale. He brought me in to assemble bikes and do some work, but I turned out to be a rather effective salesperson, so he left me out on the floor.

Check out minimus' videos... I like this mounting location a lot. I'm going to use this next ride: http://youtu.be/Hk1lY0SGGp4
