Check out minimus' videos... I like this mounting location a lot. I'm going to use this next ride: http://youtu.be/Hk1lY0SGGp4
Fun to watch the fork working the terrain. Plus, it looks speedy too!

I travelled to Mexico for some business this week. I found out the plant manager likes to mt bike and has a friend who owns a bike shop. I just got back from trying out a 2012 Specialized Rockhopper 29er Carbon up and down the hillsides of Queretaro Mexico. What an experience and what a bike!

I inherited this older (late 80's?) Randor Sportlite when my Uncle passed away, and I've done nothing with it for a couple of years. I think it's time to rebuild it. I have some questions, though. I considered converting it to a fixie with brakes, but I'm not sure about that. I'm probably only going to use this for greenway/city riding, which in my area includes a few small/moderate hills. Am I better off keeping the old 10-speed parts? Also, does anyone know of a couple of good websites for buying cheapish parts like wheels, tires, seats, pedals, etc? I may do some stuff through my local bike shop, but they've been so busy the last few times I went in that I don't want to bother them with a bunch of questions for a few parts they won't make much off of. Thanks!

Made some progress! I definitely want to go single speed. I love the simplicity of it.
