I left around an hour after my last post, and got back around an hour ago. Fantastic day in the saddle!

i just started riding my superlight again after hardingsan's posts.

the superlight climbs pretty good even compared to the 5 spot if you don't get off the saddle. the lighter weight does help as well; i think my build's rights around 25-26lbs.

dang, now i have to decide whether to keep both bikes or get rid of the superlight. hehe.

I think after riding this bike (Jamis Dakar Expert) some more, I've decided to just keep my mountain bikes the way they are and ditch the idea about selling them and going to 29". I think if anything I might try to upgrade my rear shock (Fox vanilla, circa 2001-ish) to something with some rebound dampening.

Might call Fox to see what they recommend.

oh lord.

"i can't find challenging enough trails with just a bike; i need to ford a river and do a little rock climbing first."

yeah, that sounds like a sane thought. hahaha.

North Park today with some guys from work; lots of long sweeping downhills.

it was super fun, but my brakes feel like then need a good bleeding before I do any more stuff like that.
