You'd have to tuck and tuck considerably more in the rear than the front.
I think most guys rake them like that because of the aggressive nature of the e36 body. The rake is fitting. |

Most of the rake on the e36 (and most cars) is in the body anyway, not really in the ride height. Look at the distance between the top of the front wheel opening and the top of the fender, versus the top of the rear wheel opening and the beltline.
