Let it begin...
We pulled the trigger today and brought home a heck of a good deal on a practically new metallic black sand 2012 IQ. With only 1700 miles on the ODO, its just barely broken in. This will serve as a picture and progress log for the wild ride to come! Installed: Megan Coilovers Megan Camber Plates TRD Sway Bar Kit Kenwood KSC-SW11 Rota R-Spec 16x7 4x100 +45mm BFG T/A 205/55/16 Going for ECOtuner status here. suspension and wheels will pretty much be the only mods. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Congrats and welcome to the Scion fam! \o/
That's a pretty aggro drop without shocks. Don't make it ride like pupu, sir. Pics, dammit! |

the NF springs have a well rated ride amongst the IQers.
the TRD and most other brands only do 1" or 1.2" drops choices are still limited. Megan has a coilover kit, but i dunno if its necessary. We want this thing to sit pretty. Reeall purdy.... any stance advice would help. im not into stretching tires as you may have already guessed.

Having bought quality sport shocks to go with lowering springs on the Mazda3 though, I probably won't use just springs alone ever again. My Mazda3 had more suspension stroke after lowering it since the Koni yellows were even shorter than the drop on the springs. |

I'm thinking the TRD springs are the way to go... at least as long as this thing is under factory warranty.

Tanabe Springs and Koni Yellows maybe then?
the Megans coilovers are only $749.00 i think.

The Megans are a pretty screamin' deal, I think. When I bought Koni yellows and Eibach springs, it was about a grand. You're basically getting full coilovers for the price of just Koni yellows.

I guess if you bagged it though, you'd have to maybe lose the back seats to accommodate the tank. Is there any hidden storage that could accommodate it? Some sort of spare tire compartment maybe?
