Motor swap would need: motor, trans, and ecu at least.

not totally sure on the extent of damage yet other than the compression test and the oilpan had loads of metal in it. rebuilt s and cooper motors seem to be running about the same. so if its literally only ecu and transmission that I would have to add to the bill im not sure why I wouldnt just do that. but I somehow doubt its that simple and I dont have a lot of time to figure that out lol

well cooper s referb motors are almost the same as cooper motors. I wonder if they come with the motor ecu and engine wiring harness loom in those packages? what about the front clip of the bumper and everything?

as far as i know it bolts right up. I know when you switch to the s tranny you need the s shifter cables, but i dont know anyone that has put a cooper tranny in an s. I would call Chad and talk to him

you need, cltuch and flywheel, gear box mount, clutch cylinder line exesntion, you need to make the reverse light wire longer, and the drive shafts are diff,

the ECU can just be flashed with the S map ive been told, saves swapping out the ECU, the BCU and the igntion barrel if you can
