Appreciate the feedback. I was thinking about that but it might be to much of pain in a** so another option is to do it this way using outmotoring's new 1st gen brackets. I have ZERO photoshop skills and my paint skills are nothing to brag about as well....but in my eyes this set up looks good.

I was also thinking about mounting the lights behind the lower grills but it looks like I would have to go with the m7 lower grills (which im not to keen on) as the oem grills are too thick for the light to be able to seep through.

If the black is that much of a contrast to the trim and other black plastic stuff, I'd skip it. It looks out of place. But if it matches up, I vote yes.

The aero grill has a flat black finish so yeah it will match the other stuff. Just waiting for outmotoring to get back to me as I want to make sure that the oem driving lights work with their brackets. Once I get confirmation "operation facelift" is a go.

I absolutely love your car and personally say no to the aero grille. The Royal Grey is such a classy colour I just don't think going more aggressive as a look would work.

Thanks bro

Im pretty happy with how everything is set up now and you're probably right. Its just that I always get the itch to try something different. Ive had 8 set of wheels already if that doesnt tell you something and I promised myself that I would hang on to my current ones for awhile.

Ditch the stripes and the lights and see how you like it. If you don't like the look then maybe swap for the aero grill at that point...

I hear ya. The only issue with the aero grille is the bottom part requires quite some fitting so make sure you're willing to keep it if you install it because it does require drilling into the bumper.

As a sidenote, I miss the "U" stripe

I dont know what it is but I really like the stripes with my color scheme. In my mind it enchances the color as ive seen rg's stripless and it looks "dull" IMO. I see what your are saying though with the less is more approach and im definitely not ruling it out. If I were to go stripeless I would probably rock the chrome mirror caps to add a litle pop.

Yeah im aware of the OEM areo grill fitting issues thats why I got the fleabay aero grill which is a direct fit. Its comes in a gloss finish which I had my bodyshop paint flat black.

Ahh yes the good ol U stripe. Those were the days

So stage 1 of operation facelift is a go. Put the aero grill on today and I am pretty pleased with the results. I bought the brackets so I can mount the driving lights in the lower grill for stage 2 and im just waiting for those to come in....still undecided on how to mount them position wise though.

crap cell pics but you guys get the idea..

I like it. Any way you can paint the stuff behind the grille black or something? I think it'd finish off the look. Over all,
