Default TH Lines Question

From wat I can gather these come in 2pc and 3pc. My question is does this determine what the center type is ~ appears the 3pc the lips sandwich the center wheras the 2pc the center is on top the lip correct? So if I wanted to paint the centers, either the lip covers the center (3pc) or the center covers the lip (2pc)

Then it appears the 3pc only come in sizes up to 15" and the 2pc are 16"+ correct?

Trying to determine a scenario and whether or not what I have to work with will fit the imagination.

All depends on diameter. Smaller ones are face mount, big ones are sandwich...I'm pretty sure.

I personally prefer the face mounted smaller diameter ones. The bigger diameter ones look awkward proportionally.

In the current line-up on the website the only 2-pc they show are the 17". It doesnt't show any of them face mounted.
