Default Questions on 18" wheels

Looking at some 18x8, 45 offset, with 225/35/18 tires on a 1" drop for an '04 MINI S. Just want to make sure that everything will play nice. My last car ('99 Eclipse GS-T) had 19" wheels with a 235/35/19 and a 1.5" drop and I had to roll the rear fenders. I am not worried about the small tires and the ride.

I was running 225/35s on 18/7.5s(not sure of offset), and got a good bit of rubbing, but my car was a good bit lower than 1". Switched to 215/35s and now they rarely rub

You'll probably have some minor rubbing when the suspension is compressed, but likely nothing to worry about. You might need a small spacer for clearance at that wheel ET, but I doubt it. Test fit, test fit, test fit.

Thanks for the replies. I was looking at ordering the wheels online. Might have to see if a local wheel shop has something with the same specs to try before I buy the wheels I am looking at.

I run 18 x 8 wheels with 215/35/18 tires. I am very low and and have some rubbing in hard cornering. I have 15mm spacers up front and 10 in the rear. I could go down to 5 in the rear to prevent some rubbing.

Thanks, maybe I will look at 215's instead of 225's.
