Intakes need more then just knowing runner length. Runner taper, runner angle, and CSA? You need to know the correct volume to displacement? Is it forced induction or NA? Are there space constraints to be adjusted for? Know not to use round plenums. I could go on with how real intake manifolds are made but I am making everything more complicated then it actually is as stated.

Sooooo.... I'm working with a local restaurant owner that I've done a number of jobs for in the past....
Came up with this today.... He wanted something special for a door pull on the entrance doors for his place... Made the pull out of 2" x 1/2" steel bar stock....Went and bought 50' of #6 copper grounding wire at Lowe's... Thought it might be interesting to wrap the door pull... Copper has natural properties that kill germs on contact... I'm thinking that's probably a good idea for a restaurant.... IMG_5093.jpg IMG_5090.jpg IMG_5088.jpg IMG_5091.jpg |

Just finished up a custom hood today....
Started with a wooden "buck", and added mild steel sheet and bar-stock with rivets.... Gotta have rivets... The inside will get a stock SS lined light / filter / fan insert... It will be installed in the next day or so in the clients house... Once installed, a contract artist that specialized in "faux" finishes will paint it to look like aged zinc... image2.jpg image1 (1).jpg image3.jpg image4.jpg image6.jpg |

Working on a project to make some turnbuckle tie-backs to support a massive 5' x 20' I-beam awning that will be over the main entrance of a new local restaurant...
Even made some "custom" washers for the forged clevis rod ends, because the required thickness wasn't readily available... DSC_2625.jpg DSC_2626.jpg DSC_2627.jpg DSC_2628.jpg |

Made some SS house numbers today for a client down in Florida.... The "7" is 1/4" thick and 36" tall.... All of the letters are 12" tall (well except for the f)... They will drill some holes in the building and set the rods in place with epoxy at a point where they will look like they float 2-1/2" off the face of the building...
