As far as mods go? Nuh uh. I'm not going to do much with it for a while. Next up is probably UHP tires. The grand touring summer Michelin Primacy HP (aka Prius tires) are pretty worn now from me attacking every opportunity to hustle it through a corner. Next tires will probably be BFGoodrich gForce Sport COMP2 for some added grip and increased cornering speeds. It's balanced well enough that it's pretty fast through the corners on the Prius tires, but I'd like to get in a track day at some point next year, and those summer touring tires will chunk and die if I take them on the track. The COMP2s should be able to handle it.

You should read the article in the most recent Motor Trend about tires. They tested 3 different tires on the BRZ and a couple of other cars. On the BRZ, the stock tire actually had the same lap time as a UHP tire, and it took a much more aggressive tire to drop the lap time. The lack of grip helps the car slide but stay predictable, which was why they felt the lap time didn't drop with a grippier tire.

Hm. I'll have to find that issue. I did a quick search and couldn't find it on the interwebs. Thanks.

Hahah so light!

I really like the red on white look but maybe a bit too flashy (Rota Grids shown):

Still, that combo would look such delishus with the all-red TOM'S tail lights:

Have you considered painting the stock ones? I have an idea that I haven't seen done before and I'm thinking about having my buddy that painted the Miata do it for me. Think E90 taillight colors...

Yeah I have looked into that. Not sure if I'm ready to bite the bullet on that yet, though. I did see one earlier that had everything red except for cutouts for the clear turn signals. Is that what you mean?

Pretty much. All red isn't bad, but just looks a little too bold for my taste. I could see it going well with red wheels, though.
