no they have like a galvanised something or other...im saying for durability purpose...paint it that same color...no one will know but it will be easier to clean, last longer etc...and while you have the calipers apart maybe rebuild them...i dont know how many miles you have but it's prolly a good idea

What about just painting them black? Would they still stand out too much, I'm with Lucky here, I don't think you want to draw attention to the factory calipers with bright red paint.

What all is involved in re-building them?
I have just a hair under 25,000 hard miles on him...
I now see why black would be a good choice... yep...

Black wont be noticable or flashy...but would be a nice touch once someone noticed them. Kinda like a fine detail that remains unnoticed until someone just happens to see it.

yeah...i dunno i am sure there are rebuild kits from the factory and prolly aftermarket too, i know astra said his rear right was starting to stick which gets me thinkin i might rebuild mine sooner than later
