That was my point. That was just a head/cam/header/pulley car.

Maby at sea level, but not up here at 6000 feet! At Bandemere you are lucky to see low 15's on a pullied, tuned, and bolt on magnet car.

I think the car weighed 2525lbs back then with Jove in it

Its now heavier with Russ and a cage in it but has gone 12.86 now in the same car ........it made about 15 runs that day in the 13.0s and 13.1s

It's kinda BS cause there are so many other factors into cracking a 9 second time. So my point was.... what's a normal car with a normal driver gonna run. My guess is mid 14's off the NOS with good drivers cracking mid to low 13's.
Are you saying I'm not normal

Yes but Russ ran it with R compound tyres and a standalone ECU and a built engine. Jove's 13.1 was on his as it was from the factory stock bottom end and non R compounds.

lol this is why minis should not drag race...... 12-13s = slow, and if you get a mini into the 11s or better you probably spent a ungodly amount of money.

Jove's was on forged CP pistons from Jan................Russ engine is the one that I offered to Jove when his went south at Cadwell, Only problem was that it had rolled over a couple of times........we stuck new bearings and rings in on the stock pistons added some arp conrod bolts and it became a 12 sec engine If I rember rightly it had done 70,000 miles
