I'm off to Rickey's sports bar in San Leandro to watch the race. I'm a Hammy fan, but I like that Koo-BEET-sa guy too! Gloves are off, it's par-tay time!! And don't count out that four-eyed rookie!! Go Sebastien!! Kimi who? Fernando what? w00t!

Heidfeld kept it real for F1 sauber, nice work.

Again, it will be a struggle to beat the best F1 driver to date (Hamilton)

But look what Bourdais did! 4th until the last 2 laps. A force to be reckoned with in a car with last year's Ferrari engine! So he's French. He speaks English very well! The first F1 driver to wear glasses on the track since The Kansas City Flash. Am I wrong?

Didn't Jack Villynoo wear glasses too ?

Anyway - a very interesting race, Ferrari are fragile, McLaren are looking unbeatable and BMW are right up there !

If you ignore that attrition, I think that the order is something like

McLaren
(gap)
BMW
Ferrari
(big ass gap)
Red Bull
Honda
Williams
STR
Renault
Toyota
Force India
Super Happy Friends

What a load of crap that whole race was... what the F was Kimi doing?! The boys in red better get their crap together.

Am I the only one that adores Heikki but can't root for him because he drives a McLaren?

He'll either be a force to be reckoned with or a great teammate...only time will tell. He did get screwed with the pit strategy/yellows and missed out on a certain podium.

he said, he said!

I found time yesterday to sit down and watch the race....it was exciting to say the least. I was cheering for Bourdais!!! It was awesome to see the underdog doing good, well, he's not really an underdog, they guy is a what 4 time cart/champcar champion? The with two laps to go, welcome to F1! It'd been great to see him come in 4th. I think that if he can overcome all the racecar malidies, Bourdais may me a force to be reconed with. I really wanna say that Kimi wasn't driving like the world champ he is....then to have car issues. BUT, the forst GP of the year is always the weird one.....things will fall into place in the next race.

I also hope that Bourdais continues to do well, I think he "belongs" in F1 and will get much more recognition this year. He obviously knows how to drive without driving aids. All those F1 drivers have been spoiled by them, but then again drivers like Hamilton don't need them cause he shows mad skills. I must say that I enjoyed Ferrari's "show" and how they are now being chopped to pieces by the Italian press and some fans. Ha ha it's tough when you're on top...

no traction control was a great move. makes the race more interesting. I only hope that we can have more cars finish the race, because crashing and dnf'ing is going to get very expensive for the lesser teams and thus... make the gap between the have's and have not's even bigger.

Dumb question, is this the first year without traction control?....

Yep, first year. I love it, seeing an F1 car going around a turn in full opposite lock is awesome. They also sound better going around turns instead of that nails on a chalkboard ignition cut sound.

Attrition! The pace car should get a point for more laps than most of the race cars. Stupid pass by Massa to go inside David, you know he ain't gonna give it up. And talk about bad driving what about Harvick slamming my man Stewart with two laps to go!

Did anyone see if Rubin got a DQ for going out on a red light?

Too many white cars with splashes of color and logos, bring back some distinction like the colors of Benneton or Renault blue.

I saw both the F1 and NASCAR "2-Lap to go" dissapointments....what a crazy weekend.
