Yeah, I will only be there 2 nights. Are you counting the $9.95 that the hotel charges per night on top of the expedia charges?

I am thinking about going... depends on finances and if I can get the time off from work...
I haven't booked a room or anything yet and I would love to drive but am not sure about how long it would take from Seattle.
I know a few people from our local group are driving, it would be cool to caravan...

Hmmmmmmmm

I am planning on being there and yes I know I live in Vegas, but will be on the road with a friend from Germany for 3 weeks while she is here. She is a MINI owner and would like to see AMVIV, so we are trying to route our trip to be here for Friday and Saturday...so hopefully I will see most of you then..

It takes around 20 hours of driving from Seattle. PSMINI had a group go together the year I went. Also, I read there is a group from Calgary heading to Las Vegas also. You might be able to meet up with them in eastern Washington state. I would highly recommend checking into a Motel about half way and get some sleep before making the rest of the trip.

We just stayed in Motel 6's at Redding CA on the way there and at Twin Falls ID on the way back. Since AMVIV6 is during spring break this year, I'm not sure how busy the highway motels are going to be. But it wasn't bad when I attended AMVIV 4.

Hope to see you there. It would be good to meet up with other MINIacs again.

Truth be told we're usually only good for about a thousand miles solo driving.

Last year we were with another car and it made it much easier.

We stopped in Golden because we were meeting up with some Coloradans and a Canadian.

This year we don't plan on meeting anyone since the second leg took as long as the first and was a couple hundred miles shorter. (slow pokes)
