The JCW 4-Piston works fine on the R50/R52/R53. It's on my mod list if I find enough of those yellow shiny bricks with the hoola dancer.

There are two things to note:

- You have to use steel braided brake lines for the R56. Even the regular rubber lines for the R56 are too thick.

- You need to modify the protection plate

First impression was not as I anticipated? But then I was comparing to my brakes on my MINI. However another friend had his stock Mini and we did the drive comparison. The DT BBK grabbed very firm but not uncontrollable or touchy. And if you needed a handful of stop/slow down they were ready. I believe it is like any other mod that is added to the Mini, it is all about how one drives the car? For back roads and twisties and occasional track the price and ease of installation I would recommend it over other kits.

The DT BBK requires a little grinding. This one cat of mine is def so the grinder did not bother her.

I get all my good advise from all my cats!!

That was me... and yep, that's me in my avatar

The red calipers are darker now because we've put a UV clear coat to prevent them from fading to pink.

Although, there are a couple of us who would prefer pink, and will have theirs painted that color from the get go
