RIP American Apparel

Guess it's good that I'm in the middle of switching to a new brand I fell in love with. Talk about timing That just seals the decision I guess. Thanks for the heads up

well I am glad they pushed others into making better t-shirts. But 25 retail for a plain t is kind of hard to take in the good time let alone the bad.

They're kinda pricey, but nothing that bad. Their basic T is only $17. You gotta get into their fancy fashion stuff to get above $20, and that's par for the course when it comes to fashion stuff.

It's the same price as any of their competitors. Gildan "soft style" shirts are $17 just like American Apparel.

The article makes it sound like most of their investor problems deal with the drama surrounding their moral habits and overexpanding.

You're also probably thinking wholesale pricing $17 is the storefront, buy-one price.

Yah, you can get the non-"soft style" gildans for way cheaper. They just aren't on the same level of quality or comfort.

Gildan came out with a "soft style" tee and it's right up there in price range with the AA. It has the same tightly spun fabric and soft feel as AA.

Hmm I wish that was my experience in the Cincinnati store. But I searched high and low and all I found was the summer t's. I never went to there site after to look, But I was very happy buying their regular shirts from you.

Not just yet. I'm currently working on the fall line and it should be hitting the presses somewhat soon.
