Also depends on the power/torque of the car. It became worse after the clubman got tuned.

So theoretically, one could just pack the cv joint with new grease periodically and the vibration wouldn't happen?

It will go away. Took my car about 5k miles though. Make sure that the ride hight is the same right to left. I had my right side just slightly lower and it made the issue alot worse.
