Default POLL ! DO you prefer Macintosh or PC ?

Macintosh is like a driving a Automatic Transmission

PC's are like driving a Manual Transmission

nice analogy

I would have said pc is like driving a chevy and mac is like driving a bmw 5 series with i-drive
with a pc parts are cheap and you can customize the crap out of it to make it kick ass (but it is not sold that way)

with a mac you pay a lot get a decent platform with a few too many frills and little or no control of the final result but you get to say you have one.

i like apple stuff for handheld thingies (iphone, ipod, ipad) but i feel like there computers (desk & laptops) are different just for the hell of it, not necessarily because the difference makes it better.

I need a new laptop, have always been PC, but macs are looking pretty attractive in every way but price. maybe i could get a sweet discount at the university of Houston computer store, they sell PCs, software, and macs. I recently bought MS office pro for 15 bucks there.

At work I have a two month old dell Latitude running windows 7. its really nice but it gives me the blue screen of death about 2-4 times in an 8 hour day. IT cant figure out the problem.

Which makes want to get a macbook for home.

can you run Autocad and P6 on a mac?

I run all three of those operating systems. But now I use mac far more than the others. I have a new PB Pro with Virtual Box running three different operating systems. I must say it runs faster than my windows desktop.

Oh and before it gets brought up, can we all agree that viruses aren't an issue on either mac or PC?
