Default 2013 F1 Discussion

Quote:
The first thing that NBC is doing right is that every single race will be live. And beyond that, nearly every single practice and qualifying session will be live as well. After each race, there will be a 30 minute wrap up show with the broadcast team of Leigh Diffey, David Hobbs, Steve Matchett, and Will Buxton.

Four races will air on NBC: Monaco, Austin, Montreal, and Brazil. The broadcast team will be live at the track for Austin and Montreal. The British and German GPs have to air on CNBC due to scheduling conflicts.

Miss a race and forget to set the DVR? Every single one will be re-aired on NBC Sports the same day.

HUZZAH!

There will also be a show called F1 36. It has cameras follow a driver for 36 straight hours for behind the scenes access. Sebastian Vettel is the focus of the first episode.

I'm so excited for this season to start. I already went though and set the DVR up for this weeks GP. Go McLaren!

I want to get into watching F1 and following drivers, but I don't know where to start. I guess I should get into the history of it first, and then go from there.

Watch the movie " Senna " and get a feel for some of the somewhat recent history .

Leave him alone. He knows what he's doing!!

Good start to the season. My McLaren's didn't do so hot, but the car(s) will improve.

Great to see Ferrari so much more competitive from the get go, Alonso should have an eaier time stomping Vettel this year.

....But Kimi did say "The car is good".....

Yeah, I liked the coverage too. We just switched to FIOS TV so I got to see this race in HD. Overall, I'm impressed with how NBCSN is handling things, plus I still have all my fav announcers.

Loved Kimi's proverbial middle finger of fastest lap at the end. If Lotus can keep up that pace while doing one less stop than everyone else, Ferrari and RBR are in trouble. But, I have a feeling this won't be the last Kimi - Alonso - Vettel podium this year.

I hope Kimi takes lotus to victory this year. Too early to tell, but looks like Hamilton made a good move

With Vodaphone bailing on sponsorship after this year for Mc Laren he may of had a premonition of things changing in the near future . Time will tell if he made a good move or not .

I'm still tryingto get used to the broadcast schedual for the events. My best source TVracer .com only shows the actual race itself , 12:30 am PST. No mention of any covered practice or qualifying ? Any good channel lists out there? For the past race the L.A times had the race listed as " F1 Qualifying " only ?
