Default oil warning lamp

so yeah on my lunch break today I noticed my oil lamp blinking
I just changed the oil this weekend
dunno what the heck it is, car runs great oil is at full and no leaks...weird
anyone have this issue before?

Yikes. Could be a drop in oil pressure, which would seriously damage your engine, and wouldn't show a difference in oil level on the dipstick.

word i just got off thephone with steve...
as it seems only to blink at an idle...
he says bad oil pressure switch or bad oil pressure pump...im hoping for the switch =)

steve said the light would switch on at around 15 pounds
it's low at 20
good at 25

I would be reaaaally really careful with this problem, including not doing your signature *zing idling engine to 6000 rpm and hold it there with blips* shenanigans. If the oil pump is bad and it fails altogether, it would only take a few moments before permanent damage is done to your engine.

According to the manual:

"Engine Oil Pressure - Stop immediately. Switch off engine. Check the engine oil and fill as needed. Please contact the nearest MINI Dealer.

/!\ Do not continue driving; otherwise, the engine could be damaged because of inadequate lubrication. <"

this is going to be where i buy an oil pressure guage...
i want the air fuel guage too
i need that gay little guage pod thing...do they sell that alone so i can get good guages?
