Default .:: egon ::.

it's been two months since i purchased egon, and finally he's ready for some photos.

the info:

2011 candy white gti
autobahn package
h&r super sport springs
19" alzor 621 wheels
sumitomo htrz III 235/35/19

want:

cai
exhaust
candy white front spoiler
white front markers (hopefully doing these this week!)
tint

i've been loving this car. it's already got about 5,500 miles on it, and i've already jammed it full of crap, hauled a bunch of drunk girls around in it, chauffeured the dog, and drive it at least 70 miles a day. i didn't think i would like the 4 door, but it's pretty much the best ever.

at the dealership:

Sweet

FYI, if you haven't taken him in for his 6k maintenance you need to do it now. The dealership told me the checkup was free so I planned to take it just after I passed the 6K mark. They called me the day before I was going to drive across state for MOTD and said I need to bring it in BEFORE 6k or VW wouldn't pay for the service. I passed the 6k mark with about 200 miles left on my return trip from MOTD. Needless to say, I canceled my service appointment when I got back in town.

I really like the look you've got with this car. Simple, clean, and understated. You could do bags, slam it, or so many other things and it would look amazing but for a daily driver this seems like a great blend.

By the way, I saw a few white MkVI's at SoWo that painted parts of the lower grille body color and it looked great. Again, a very OEM+ simple mod that went a long way and would fit right in on yours.

hot damn that looks good. I'm really liking the new gti's and if I had one I'd do mine up just like this.

i'm not going to go in for the 6K check, i will start with VW at 10K... but that is complete bs that they wouldn't take you right after 6K... i mean really?

thanks drew! i am definitely sticking with the OEM+ look. i'm not sure what pieces of the "want" pile i am going to get for my birthday (ooo surprises!), but i definitely am going to get the painted lip asap if it doesn't appear in a wrapped gift in july. tee hee hee. i saw someone on the tex that painted the red grill line white on their mk6, it looked so nice.

thanks erik! i'm loving the mk6's more than the mk5's... looks a little more aggressive and a lot more sexy time.

I wondered if you were getting chipped. I was surprised you didn't mention it in your list since you talked about Nick's so much.

And the 4-door looks much better on the VI than it did on the V... but I'm biased

the chip made a huge difference on his mk5, so yeah i am definitely doing it... it's a given that is why i didn't put in on the want list. hahahaha
